Yesterday was nude, today's black. The are actually friends that came together and I was sooo surprised that this lady wanted black for CNY but she really like it so I gave her a black gradation. with my black charm too.

1 of the pretty yet simple set. Customer wanted nude cos her dress was in nude and she wanted to match her dress and her much love for blings thus she asked me to add glitter, charms & crystals on her nails for the extra blingz.
Bits & pieces about me
A surprise post for the readers. Decided to get off topic and talk something abit more personal about me and of cause I know there are quite a few of young readers here and would really love to hear this story. Its gonna be quite a wordy post, I do hope this post helps a little for mum to be or preparing you to be a mum.
Lets start off with me being pregnant.
As most readers/customers have known, Im a young mummy. Am only turning 23 in sept 2013. And of cause I aint gonna hide the fact that I was pregnant before getting married.
Everyone asked me how I actually handled it when I found out. All I can say was, I was lost, blinded by love & happy.
Just so to let you all know more about my r/s with my hubby, we were really happy during his NS period and yes it isnt hard for us as he was a commando and he only gets to book out on sats and have to book in on sun which was only a day of meeting (where got enough?) And there are times where by he needa have guard duty and not being able to book out. Than, there are times whereby he needa travel overseas for his 1 mth training.
I thought things would have gotten better after NS but no. University was the most challenging part of our R/S. As most of my customers would have know, I quit sch at the age of 16 just so to follow my heart and work as a manicurist at Far East Plaza. (Not really a good example) So, I was pretty unsure of my r/s as why would a grad wants some1 this dumb :/
And yes, true enough we broke up once he got into uni, reason being he wanted his freedom and have time to concentrate on his studies but of cos I found out he was actually going out with girls -.-
I actually tried ways to forget him but no, I still couldnt. We got back together after seperating for a mth plus to only realise I was pregnant. I didnt know what to do at first, Happy cos I ever went to a doc and he told me I only had 20% to being pregnant and fact was I thought I could marry the guy I loved (blinded by love -.-) Lost, cos I was only 20 still pretty immature in thinking and didnt know if I could be a good example for my baby.
After lotsa discussions with family members & friends. We decided to not kill the innocent life and gives my son a perfect family. We got married on the 28thNov2010.
Throughout my pregnancy times I felt I was going to die, I still had to go to work.(working in an office at that moment of time) My morning sickness came only when I was 2 mths preggy and it was really bad. I vomitted every single morning. Even if I had water I will puke the water out. Every morning, my office toilet is my best friend. Would run to the toilet just to puke whatever I have eaten. And if I dont eat, I puke my gastric fluid out. :/ Thats how bad I had to handle everyday.
Things when on till I was 4 months preggy. Things got better cause the vomitting stopped, but thats when my brain when crazy. Randomly scolding people (My husband), its like PMS but far worst. You cant seem to control what is happening, you get reminded of sad stuff than you will start crying. It was like a roller coaster ride during pregnancy and Im glad its finally over.
It finally came to a time whereby everything in the world was agaiinst you and your confidence seems to be the lowest during that period guess thats the reason why Husbands plays a good role of keeping the wife happy nd giving her whatever she wants during that period (or best throughout their relationship).
I didnt had much cravings, felt hungry more often. My 1st 2 months I was basically in need of fastfood, anything with fries or burgers will curb my craving. Den came 5th mth onwards, my love for ice cream grew I had to have a tub of ice cream everynight before I sleep and once in awhile in need of meaty food (bak kut teh, kway chap, steak etc.). I used to like having kois before preggy but I actually hated bubbletea during preg somehow I cant even finish a small cup of it.
Went for monthly checkups till the day I was due on 16thMay2011 but my lil boy still didnt want to come out thus doc gave him extra 4 days before inducing him. Shall talk about my giving birth process the next time round.
Soooo sorry to those that are here for pictures but I kindda felt I should pen this down so as to let more people understand about going through pregnancy & labour.

Filionia gave me Cynfulnails design and wanted me to have it on her nails. I have to say it isnt easy to do cynthia's design and I really try my best to imitate to the best. But given of my experience and cynthia's theres surely a lil different in the outlook.
But anyway, felt this set is suitable for bridal nails too. Clean, sweet and yet elegent.
Blue Gradation
Cust was getting married and cos she has always like blue, she wanted a blue set of nails for wedding. added flakes into her gradation just so to beautify her nails a lil bit more. Added 3D on her ring finger so that when shes putting on her wedding ring that would be de main highlight. hehe^^
Short nailbeds
Customer came with super small and short nailbed, I realise alot of my customers have very short and small nailbed. And becos of that they feel that they can only do very simple things, such as french gradation etc. But no, This set I did for this customer is super pretty and she has very small nailbed. I know the pictures feel as thou they are long but trust me her nails are super short its the art of the nail that makes it look longer.
And becos of the super short nails, I managed to bring in super small charms( ONLY FOR SHORT NAILS) as it would look too small on long nails.
Red CNY Set
Sorry for the super long hiatus, CNY period have been a hell week for me. Yes, I love doing nails but NO I do not like having to deal with all the weird customers (I actually wanted to swear.) But despite meeting all the weird customers Im still pretty much happy about all the nails/customers I have done/met during this period. THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING ME!!

Customer took a picture from FeliciousNail and sent it to me asking me for the exact design. Manage to copy the same design. Was a lil worried at first cos her nails were rather short and the santa would be a lil fat with short body but who knows, its sooo cute!
Yellow Lace
Think its a trend now to have the ring finger in a different colour. Customer came to me asking for a half moon set with hand drawn lace and wanted bling gelish for her ring finger! She came in the morning becos her flight to Zurich was in the evening. So jealous of her cos she is heading to Paris too!
Sweet Leopard
I have always liked leopard prints. But so far none of my customer did it becos they loooove my floral more. LOL! So when Jaime told me she wanted sth different for Christmas I was quite happy!

What can I say about this set?! Everything cute is on. Penguin, Rudolph, Christmas Tree, Snowman and MR Santa! Customer feedback that all her colleagues and friends exclaimed cute de moment they saw this set.
Bad experience with Chiffonier Couture
Im not trying to be mean just by posting this here but honestly, I would like my readers/customers and any1 who reads this to step into my shoe and tell me if Im right or wrong? And so, I bought this dress from Chiffonier Couture which is managed by an acquaintance & her boyfriend. I wanted to support her, afterall its not easy setting up an online business considering that Im using the online way of advertising my business.
Anyway, I received the dress in late oct/early nov (I cant exactly rmb the exact date as Im quite busy) I checked that all the threads are secured & that the zip was usable before throwing it into the machine. Honestly speaking, I wouldnt bother complaining if I didnt check the item and yet threw it into the machine but fact was I checked my item without trying it on. Cos knowing that even if it did not fit me I still need to keep it an wont get an exchange.
So, after washing the dress I didnt bother using it yet as I was preparing to wear for a wedding in end Nov, few days before the wedding I actually tried on the dress (THANKFULLY I DID) and realise that the zip at the back would keep opening. At that moment, I thought it was my fault cos I threw it into the washing machine, but no, I checked the zip and it was in perfect condition. So, I immediately whatapp Valerie (Convo have been deleted as it was close to 3 months back) I MENTIONED MY DRESS WAS BEING WASHED BUT IM PRETTY SURE IT WASNT THE MACHINE FAULT AS THE ZIP WAS STILL IN PERFECT CONDITION. I guess she didnt exactly read my whatsapp which explained why she mentioned in the below msg saying I mentioned it only after giving the dress to her.
Just so Im not making this story up, I've decided to post photos of the convo I had with her earlier on and you be my judge if Im doing sth wrong here.

And just for their benefit, they did mentioned that washed clothes cant be returned/exchange but fact was if this is the customer service they have for their customer, will you get things from them? I always believe in customer service and I was really shocked when I received her msg cos usually if I have an angry customer I would try my best to figure a problem and even offer to have her next set of nails done at a discounted rate to see where the faults lies. Of cos, if the customer is lying I would be able to see (I have been in the nail industry for 2 yrs before attending a nail school & opening my own business.) Customer Service has always been my value in my business, but seeing her reply I guess she should do something about her service/attitude towards her clients.
AngelPro Tutorial
I did a tutorial on Angelpro Gelly before but cos ALL my pictures were removed by Google I had to redo this again. I cant tell you how I loooove Angelpro Gelly. Its 100% Gel and its safe for the nails. ok. I will write another post on the different types of gel in the market another time just so this post doesnt turn too wordy. (:
1. Apply a layer of Angel Pro GELLY BASE on to prepped, filed & cleansed nail. Place the nail under a professional UV/LED lamp to cure.
2. Im using a UV Lamp thus I will be "curing" the nails for 2 mins after every layer is applied.
3. Apply an even layer of Angel Pro GELLY POLISH gel nail lacquer on to the entire nail without touching the skin/cuticles.

4. Apply a second layer of Angel Pro GELLY POLISH gel nail lacquer if required.
| 5. Do any art that will be needed before applying a layer of Angel Pro GELLY SHINE for long lasting shine. Avoid the skin around the nail. Place the nail under a professional UV/LED lamp. |
6. Dampen a cotton pad/lint free wipe with Angel Pro GEL CLEANSER. Clean the nail with the cotton pad/lint free wipe to remove the sticky residue on the nail surface.
7. Your nails are ready! Angel Pro GELLY POLISH last for more than three weeks on your nails.

Tiffany Floral
This lady wanted to try my floral set but yet didnt want pink thus she chose 1 of de pastel blue I had. Always felt this blue looks like the Tiffany & Co. colour. Reminds me of the lil blue-green box.
Handfolded ribbon
Have been trying to do a perfect ribbon for a very long time. and I finally mastered the techniques to doing so. And yes, this will be slightly more pricey than de usual charms as its handmade and not easily found in retails. Perfect for bridal nails.

Gradiant is an all time favourite art. Mainly, cos its affordable and when your nails grows you cant really see the base growing out. But cos its the christmas season, So SzeHan decided to have Mr Santa aka her new found bf on her thumbs.

Did lotsa accessories for this set. Wanted to always try the 3d self Charm that I made myself. My customers usually aint a fan of 3d nailart thus when I received a text from this lady I was soooo happy and was trying my best to figure how to do de accessories.

Hello Lovies,
Happy New Year!! Its 2013 already, I felt 2012 passed real quick. Had sucha wonderful year. I wanna post on the things that made my 2012 a good year.
1. Met sooooo many lovey customers. Customers that I treat them more as friends than clients.
2. Being able to see my lil baby growing into sucha fine lil boy (he is still quite a terror)
3. Having to maintain my business which I thought I would fail even before trying. (im thankful)
4. Having Family and Friends supportive of my doings esp my hus which have been there for me.
5. Being able to save up xxxx amt after spending xxxxx on my nail business.
All these made me really proud of myself. I went thru hell lot to actually achieve this. And sometimes I cant believe Im actually holding a fulltime job which I really loooove.
Anyway, I made up a few Resolutions for 2013 and am hoping I would fulfill it by end of 2013.
1. to save xxxxx for my future nest.
2. bringing in more nail products for customers to choose.
3. able to handle my business and not neglecting my family.
4. to improve in my nail arts and offer wider range of services.
5. to be known by more ppl.
Im not gonna have alot of redolutions cos given my personality I usually wouldnt fulfill it. LOL! But no! Im intending to do so for this year onwards. (:
I know this is quite a wordy post but felt like penning down my thoughts (:
Once again, Have a great year ahead and may we be healthy and rich and have hella fun in the coming year.
